The pH of our blood plasma is regulated by the body to be around 7.4, and the body regulates it extremely well - the pH of the food and drink we consume doesn't significantly impact the pH of the body, which is lucky because even a 0.1 deviation either way would be extremely dangerous. Our bodies do not become "highly acidic", we'd be dead long before that could happen.All food and drink we consume is drenched in acid in the stomach. If the acidity in the stomach is reduced too much, it harms our ability to digest food properly.Drinking a little more water can bring health benefits to most of us, but alkaline water is no more healthful than normal water - it will still be turned acidic by stomach acid before it gets absorbed into the body.How incorrect you are. Our bodies do certainly become more accidic, and it is the main cause of disease. And what we consume does imapact our acidic health. A cancer patient's body is almost 100% acidic. The Kangen water not only brings down the ph level to a healthy 7.35, but it also oxidizes creating optimum health. But none of this matters, and rarely if ever do I speak of it to those I introduce the water to. Just talk to the hundreds of thousands of people who use the water and have overcome serious disease and gained back their lives, like mine. Hi Jeff,Wow... really enjoyed your article on this. I'd like to think that I eat healthy, take the right supplements, yada, yada, yada. But, the bottom line is I'm in denial. I had heard something else about Kangen at one time, but then forgot all about it.This article is timely, helpful and encouraging. But, I still think you ought to be getting a commission on every bottle of water that results from your promotion of the same!There is only one thing that I was hoping you would mention in your article... How much is the water?Well, the cost of the machine varies, depending on the model you get. But the bottom line is the effect. It's actually miraculous. At Enagic meetings (company that manufactures the machines) I hear time and again life changing and saving stories all the time. It's really sad the state of the health nation, so many buying into drugs, doctors and procedures and prescriptions. I appreciate you responding and your honesty.

I have died and been told I was going to die many times by doctors and should have. Fortunately I was blessed and saved each time. Praise the Lord for that. Nonetheless, with as many physical problems I have (type 1 diabetes, osteoperosis, neuropathy and asthma to name a few) I would be willing to bet that this water would not only help with my blood sugars ( I hate dropping into the 20's) but also with many other things. Your article will attract 100s or 1000s of readers over time; that's my hope. My wife and I became health-conscious in the late 1990s, and our lives have been revolutionized. One of the most important choices we made was to eliminate soda and artificial drinks, and to drink reverse osmosis water from the health food store. I will definitely check out the Kangen machine, and share the info with my wife. Also, when I start teaching on biblical health and nutrition at church in February, I will be using excerpts from your excellent article. Sorry to hear you have had so many health problems.
You stated . . . "Since I've stopped drinking all that poison, and along with exercise, greens, and supplements . . ."
I believe it is the combination of all of those actions - along with the water - that you have better health. I personally gave up sodas and other sugary drinks years ago and enjoy a diet of 75% alkaline foods (along with a water ionizer - not Kangen) and have had excellent health.
I encourage everyone to explore the "alkaline lifestyle".
If you want to avoid dis-ease, here is my "formula":
1- Minimize toxins (from environment and unhealthy foods)
2- Maximize good nutrients into the body (including filtered water)
3- Manage stress

It's acidic level is very similar."The ph of battery acid is about .8, extremely acidic.The stomach's ph is 1-to-2, highly acidic.The ph of Sprite (litmus paper) is about 5, moderately acidic.Wait, which way are we going? Is 1 or 10 highly acidic? You say 1 is high, 8 extreme, and 5 moderate. Not sure I get your scale.You don't understand the ph scale, and you are writing about acidity?Above "7" is considered "basic"Below "7" is considered "acidic".The lower the number, the more acidicBattery acid is .8 - that is "eight tenths" not "8". That means highly acidic. Note the little period before the 8, that means it's less than 1.Sprite is 5, that is "five" and because it is closer to neutral (7) Sprite is nowhere near as acidic as battery acid, which is sulphuric acid.The lumen of the stomach, that is the stomach's lining, is very acidic, at about 1.5, most of it being hydrochloric acid.Acid is what digests food. Food is acid, as proteins are made of nothing less than "amino acid".
