Bubble swing top
Down she goes, goes,
Bubble swing top
To her toes, toes
Bubble swing top
Like no one know, knows
Down she goes, goes,
Bubble swing top
To her toes, toes
Bubble swing top
Like no one know, knows
Bubble swing top
And Candy spit hop
Push away youth
And they go, go
Bubble swing top
And Candy spit hop
Remember not no, no
Bubble swing top
And Candy spit hop
Have ragged cloths, cloths
Bubble swing top
Candy spit hop and
Wendy slip knot
Always on the road, road
Bubble swing top
Candy spit hop and
Wendy slip knot
See them go, go
See them run, run
Away from old dumb, dumbs
Taking away their fun, fun
Bubble swing top
Candy spit hop and
Wendy slip knot
They've laid down the law
Grownups they'll never be, be
Bubble swing top
Candy spit hop and
Wendy slip knot
One two three, three

Just a little ditty that came to mind when I read the phrase "bubble swing top" on the Internet. Apparently, it's some kind of clothing, but for me it meant something else, of course. An artist of mine own heart, Jeff. (smile)
And they said you couldn't write poetry, Jeff! Just kidding--no one said that. Very cute. But I guess I don't get out much--never heard of Bubble Swing Tops. You put it together rather well, at any rate.Have a good one.SanraSandra,
Me neither, then after seeing the name for some type of clothing, I got inspired. Never know what will do the trick.
P.S.
My major in college was creative writing with a concentration in verse. My graduate thesis was a collection of poetry. Now you know ;=)
Great article. Well done.I would find it hard to write such a long poem about such a narrow subject - you managed well and did not waffle.Connor,
Yeah, as a writer (my major in college creative writing / verse) that's what we are taught. Don't give up or give in and go with it. "Be brave!" as one of my enthusiastic professors used to say.I have a similar way of remembering the same idea: "don't sound like a Communist Party newspaper".That's great! I'll use that one.
I read it twice and I guess I am too old to get it. But keep it up..."Tread the Earth Lightly"" and let your days be filled with... Peace, light and love,Arlene Wright-CorrellThat's poetry, actually. It should be revisitable. Thanks for reading.I realized it was poetry.. however, as I said I am probably too old for anything other than Frost, Browning, and other old folks."Tread the Earth Lightly" and in the meantime... may your day be filled with... Peace, light and love,Arlene Wright-Correll
Jeff, I think I love it. It woke up my day. Thanks a lot. I must say, Arlene is learning something new from alive Poets.Dr. Rucker,
